Job summary

The Methodist Church in Britain is seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to lead Compass, a needs-led provision at Hampton Gardens Secondary School, helping students remain in mainstream education where possible. You will support induction, assessment, intervention and regular review, plan targeted programmes for individuals and groups, monitor progress and report outcomes to teaching staff.

Responsibilities

Lead the day-to-day operation of Compass.
Support students through induction, assessment, intervention and ongoing review.
Identify barriers to learning and put in place strategies that promote engagement, independence and positive outcomes.
Contribute to planning, delivery and evaluation of targeted support programmes for individuals and small groups.
Monitor student progress and report outcomes to teaching and pastoral staff.
Work with SENDCo Inclusion Team to tailor and regularly review support.
Promote positive attendance and reintegration into lessons where required.
Deliver enrichment and intervention activities during breaks, lunch or after school.
Provide guidance and support to Level 1 and Level 2 Teaching Assistants.
Support teaching staff.
