Job summary

Hampton Gardens Secondary School is recruiting a Level 3 Teaching Assistant (Compass Room Lead) to support teaching staff and work with Inclusion, SEND and Pastoral teams to enhance student development and wellbeing. Qualifications

• Experience as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant or substantial experience as a Level 2 Teaching Assistant and readiness to progress.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operation of Compass, providing a structured, supportive environment for students requiring additional regulation and support.
• Support students through induction, assessment and intervention, identifying barriers to learning and applying strategies to promote engagement and progress.
• Plan, deliver and review targeted support programmes for individuals and small groups, monitoring progress and reporting outcomes to teaching and pastoral staff.
• Collaborate with the Achievement Support Team, SENDCo and Inclusion Team to tailor support to each student and promote inclusive SEND provision.
