Job summary

Cheshire East Council’s Care4CE – Wilmslow Supported Living Network is seeking a Permanent Grade 4 Community Support Worker. The role is 37 hours per week with pay of £13.26–£13.47 per hour plus enhanced pay. The package includes weekends, bank holidays pay, and development opportunities.

You will provide person-centred support, assist with daily activities, and help tenants live independently with dignity, while working as part of a caring team.

Qualifications

1 x Permanent Grade 4 Community Support Worker

You will have:

• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings and alternating weekends. (Shifts: 7am–3pm / 3pm–10pm)
• Commitment to learning and development.
• Valid licence to drive fleet vehicle for tenant support across the borough.

Desirable:

• NVQ Level 2 in Social Care.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, safer handling, and first aid.

The role of Care and Support worker will include:

• Provide person‑centred care and support.
• Support with personal care, including washing, dressing, and dental hygiene.
• Assist tenants with everyday household tasks such as cleaning, food shopping, meal preparation, and managing finances.
• Support with medication and accessing community services, including GP and hospital appointments.
• Keep clear and accurate care records.
• Support care planning and act as a key worker when required.
• Help tenants stay connected with family, friends, and their local community.
• Carry out domestic tasks and follow health and safety requirements.
• Encourage independence and support participation in social activities.
