Job summary

Cheshire East Council is recruiting for Carter House Day Service in Congleton. This 0.48 FTE role (18 hours/week) spans Mon, Tue, Thu and Thu, with 6 hours per day between 9:00 and 16:30, including a 20‑minute lunch break. You will support adults with learning disabilities in activities, local outings, and daily living tasks.

No prior experience required; full induction and training provided. The role emphasizes dignity, respect, and enriching people’s lives in a diverse, supportive team.

Job description

An exciting opportunity has become available to work within the Care4CE Carter House Day Service in Congleton. The position is for 0.48 FTE (18 hours) per week over a Monday, Tuesday Thursday and Thursday working pattern working 6 hours per day between the hours of9am and 4:30pm with a 20-minute unpaid lunch break.

About you

Carter House Day Services provides support for adults who have alearning disability. As part of your role, you will support the customers to access a range of activities within the centre including art and crafts, physical exercise/dance, cooking and baking and multi-sensory sessions. You will also support the customers to access local facilities and venues including the local library, allotments and swimming sessions.

Experience is welcome but it is not required as a full induction will be given along with all the necessary training and support however if you are caring, friendly and have a commitment to enrich people’s lives whilst treating individuals with dignity and respect, we would welcome your application.

The successful candidate will:
  • Provide a high-quality person-centred care and support service
  • Provide support with personal care, administration of medication, daily activities, etc.
  • Empower the people who attend our day centre to lead fulfilling lives.

  • Be enthusiastic, flexible and reliable.
