NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a dedicated nurse within their Out of Hours district nursing service. This role requires a live NMC PIN and entails providing effective, culturally sensitive nursing services in the community, ensuring high standards of care across diverse age groups. The position includes weekend and public holiday participation, making it a pivotal role in delivering timely, high-quality care to urgent requests throughout the year.

The shift pattern for this position is Monday to Sunday, 08:30-16:30 and 13:30-21:30, including weekend rota and public holiday cover.
You will provide an accessible, appropriate, high-quality, culturally sensitive, and effective nursing service to all age groups in the community, working in partnership with service users, care providers, and other agencies during Out of Hours. You will function as an independent, autonomous practitioner, supporting the district nursing team to deliver quality care in the Out of Hours period. Your responsibilities include supporting the delivery of care, managing delegated activities within the caseload, and providing support to other team members under the supervision of the District Nurse.
The Out of Hours district nursing service operates an open access policy, available 365 days a year, allowing timely response to unscheduled care requests requiring urgent intervention.
This role involves participation in the weekend and public holiday rota. A current driving license is essential. PVG Scheme Membership/Disclosure Scotland check is required.
