Job summary

Northumberland County Council is seeking a Community Safety Officer to work across the county from County Hall, Morpeth. The role focuses on preventing anti-social behaviour and delivering coordinated community safety interventions.

You will build partnerships with residents, police, housing providers and agencies, patrol and investigate to gather evidence and take appropriate action, contributing to public confidence and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Experience in community safety, enforcement, housing or public protection.
• Ability to communicate confidently with the public and partner agencies.
• Full UK driving licence and flexibility to work evenings/weekends when required.

Responsibilities

• Address anti-social behaviour and safety concerns through proactive engagement and enforcement.
• Build partnerships with residents, councillors, police, housing providers and agencies.
• Carry out patrols, investigations, gather evidence and take action per policies.
• Provide a visible presence to improve public confidence and quality of life.
