Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking Healthcare Support Workers to provide daily, person-centred care in Helensburgh and Lomond. The role supports reablement and nursing services to help people live independently at home, including end-of-life care where appropriate.

Applicants should have excellent communication and teamwork, a full UK driving licence, and a willingness to undertake required training. The post is fixed-term until February 2027 with weekend/evening shifts.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car.
• Ability to work as part of a team; adaptable and reliable.
• Willing to undertake training and mandatory induction.

Responsibilities

• Deliver daily person-centred care to the community of Helensburgh and Lomond.
• Work within Reablement and Nursing Services to support independence and safety at home.
• Enable palliative care at home with appropriate support to patients and families.
• Maintain good IT skills and accurate record-keeping.
