Job summary

NHS Highland is seeking Health Care support Workers to join the Cowal community team, based at Cowal Community Hospital. You will deliver person-centred care, assist with reablement packages, and support Community Nurses, Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists to help people stay at home.

You must be flexible with hours (up to 49.5 per week including part-time) and be able to prioritise tasks. A full driving licence is essential; occasional weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

  • Experience in health and social care settings preferred.
  • Able to work with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong prioritisation and time management.
  • Full driving licence essential.

Responsibilities

  • Provide reablement packages of care and support Community Nurses, Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists to help people remain safely in their own homes.
  • Work as part of a dynamic community team from Cowal Community Hospital base.

Job description

Up to 49.5 hrs per week available including part time. Flexible working/job share can be considered including applications for additional contractual hours from within the current team.

We are seeking motivated and experienced Health Care support Workers to join our community team working with people across the Cowal Area.

You would be part of a dynamic and dedicated team providing a person centred, seamless service across the local community from our base in Cowal Community Hospital. You will be involved in providing reablement packages of care and supporting the Community Nurses, Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists to support people to remain safely in their own homes.

You will need to be flexible and able to prioritise and manage your time effectively. Effective communication skills and multi disciplinary working are essential. Knowledge and experience of both health and social care practice would be advantageous.

The organisation is committed to supporting your professional development and you will have regular supervision and performance reviews with access to appropriate training enabling you to provide optimum care. A full driving licence is essential. This post would include occasional weekend working.
