Job summary

Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a committed Community Phlebotomist to join the Merseyside Phlebotomy Team on a fixed term contract to cover maternity leave for 12 months. Based in the Liverpool team, you may support Sefton and Knowsley as required.

You will hold an NVQ Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care, or demonstrate willingness to undertake this qualification, or evidence relevant experience.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or willingness to undertake.
• Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.
• Good communication with service users, clinicians and staff.

Responsibilities

• Be competent in venepuncture and sample collection.
• Ensure correct labeling and timely blood tests.
• Maintain records and input data on IT systems.
• Work across the Mersey Care phlebotomy footprint and with colleagues.
