Job summary

Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust in Paignton is seeking a full-time Phlebotomist to join our busy community team, delivering a high-quality home blood collection service across the locality. You will work with a multidisciplinary team, communicate clearly with patients and carers, plan your day, and ensure samples are collected efficiently in patients' homes, contributing to integrated care.

• To deliver high quality care to the housebound patients of Paignton and Brixham and work as part of multi-disciplinary team and in partnership with primary care and secondary care.
• An ability to effectively communicate routine information to patients/carers where co-operation is required and where there may be barriers to understanding
• Responsible for planning and organising own day to day work tasks and activities within an occasionally unpredictable environment
• To obtain high quality blood samples from patients in the home environment

Job description

An exciting opportunity has become available for a full-time Phlebotomist to join our busy and supportive team, providing a high-quality phlebotomy service to patients within an integrated team working across the community, this includes: Community Nursing, Intermediate Care and Community Matrons.

• To deliver high quality care to the housebound patients of Paignton and Brixham and work as part of multi-disciplinary team and in partnership with primary care and secondary care.
