Job summary

RSR is seeking a compassionate Domestic Abuse Support Worker to join a dedicated service supporting individuals and families affected by domestic abuse. This role offers person-led, strengths-based and holistic support to improve wellbeing and independence, with a focus on safety.

You will work across Stockport, including home-based elements, acting as a key contact to develop personalised plans and provide crisis support as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people who have experienced domestic abuse.
• Understanding of domestic abuse and barriers faced by survivors.
• Experience delivering a person-led and strengths-based approach.
• Ability to signpost and provide information to those in crisis or complex circumstances.
• Experience developing personalised plans and achieving positive outcomes.
• Strong risk assessment and safeguarding awareness.
• Excellent communication with service users, professionals and agencies.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle insured for business use.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive information, advice and practical support to people experiencing domestic abuse.
• Develop and co-produce personalised support plans focused on positive outcomes.
• Identify and reduce risks associated with domestic abuse.
• Work across Stockport in community locations and some home-based work.
• Maintain accurate records and complete relevant data and monitoring requirements.
