Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is seeking an experienced Community Nursing Team Leader to join Renfrewshire HSCP. You will lead a dedicated community nursing team, delivering high‑quality, patient‑centred care within patients’ homes and communities.

You must hold an active NMC pin and SPQ or equivalent, with proven leadership and change management skills to drive service improvement, supervise staff and contribute to governance, workforce planning and partnership working.

Qualifications

• First level Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
• SPQ qualification or equivalent level of competence with relevant community nursing experience
• Significant leadership or supervisory experience within an NHS or healthcare setting
• Experience of multidisciplinary working across services, organisations and partner agencies
• Proven ability to lead change, manage performance and support service improvement programmes
• Excellent communication, influencing, negotiation and organisational skills with the ability to manage complex situations
• Strong IT skills with knowledge of healthcare systems, report writing and an understanding of governance, risk and budget management principles

Responsibilities

• Provide professional leadership and day‑to‑day operational management of the community nursing team
• Support staff development through supervision, appraisal, mentoring and performance management processes
• Promote high‑quality, safe and effective patient‑centred care across all areas of service delivery
• Lead and contribute to service redesign, quality improvement initiatives and clinical governance activities
• Monitor workforce deployment, staffing levels and service performance to ensure effective service provision
• Manage incidents, complaints, audits and risk assessments while ensuring compliance with organisational policies
• Develop effective partnerships with multidisciplinary teams, GP practices, social care colleagues and external agencies
