NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is a major UK health system employing around 40,000 staff across clinical and non-clinical roles. This post is based in Renfrewshire HSCP within NHSGGC, offering leadership of a community nursing team and opportunities to influence service development and care delivery in people’s homes and communities.

The role requires an active NMC pin and involves 5-day weeks, with occasional weekend work, in a NHS Scotland environment that values development,

Qualifications

• First level Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
• SPQ qualification or equivalent level of competence with relevant community nursing experience.
• Significant leadership or supervisory experience within an NHS or healthcare setting.
• Experience of multidisciplinary working across services, organisations and partner agencies.
• Proven ability to lead change, manage performance and support service improvement programmes.
• Excellent communication, influencing, negotiation and organisational skills with the ability to manage complex situations.
• Strong IT skills with knowledge of healthcare systems, report writing and an understanding of governance, risk and budget management principles.

Responsabilités

• Provide professional leadership and day-to-day operational management of the community nursing team.
• Support staff development through supervision, appraisal, mentoring and performance management processes.
• Promote high-quality, safe and effective patient-centred care across all areas of service delivery.
• Lead and contribute to service redesign, quality improvement initiatives and clinical governance activities.
• Monitor workforce deployment, staffing levels and service performance to ensure effective service provision.
• Manage incidents, complaints, audits and risk assessments while ensuring compliance with organisational policies.
• Develop effective partnerships with multidisciplinary teams, GP practices, social care colleagues and external agencies.
