Job summary

CNWL NHS Foundation Trust in Southall is seeking a Band 6 Community Occupational Therapist to join the ENable team delivering specialist neurology rehabilitation in the community. You will assess and treat clients with neurological conditions, focusing on evidence-based, goal‑oriented rehabilitation in home and community settings.

The role offers multidisciplinary teamwork, opportunities for CPD and development of supervisory and management skills within a supportive NHS environment.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate experience in neurology, rehabilitation and community NHS settings.
• Evidence of working in multidisciplinary teams and enabling autonomous practice.
• Strong communication and organisational skills to support home-based rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based assessment, treatment and advisory services to clients with neurological conditions (progressive or acquired such as stroke).
• Collaborate flexibly with the ENABLE team to deliver integrated rehabilitation in line with team policies.
• See clients in community outpatient clinics, homes or leisure facilities.
• Manage a varied caseload with neurological diagnoses including musculoskeletal, orthopaedic, cognitive and communication impairments.
• Participate in CPD, education, audit and research projects.
• Manage complex caseload using evidence-based clinical reasoning and reflection.
• Apply client-centred, goal-orientated rehabilitation approaches.
• Participate in departmental clinical supervision with personalised training and peer review.
