Job summary

Sanctuary Personnel is seeking a Band 6 Community Stroke / Neuro Occupational Therapist to join our team in Enfield, London. The role is part-time (0.7 WTE, approximately 3.5 days per week) with an extended contract and a pay rate of up to £30 per hour, offering autonomy to manage your own caseload in community settings under senior clinical support.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
• HCPC registration.
• 12–24 months post-graduate experience in NHS/community OT.
• Experience in stroke rehabilitation and neurology.
• Experience supervising students or assistants.

Responsibilities

• Manage a community stroke and neurological rehabilitation caseload.
• Undertake comprehensive Occupational Therapy assessments for complex patients.
• Develop and deliver individualized treatment programmes.
• Provide specialist OT interventions in community settings.
• Support rehabilitation and discharge planning.
• Represent OT within multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Provide specialist clinical advice on patient management.
• Complete outcome measures and monitor intervention effectiveness.
• Assess and prescribe equipment to aid rehabilitation and independence.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and correspondence.
• Supervise Band 4 Therapy Assistants and students where required.
• Participate in audits, research and service improvement projects.

What you will do

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.


• HCPC registration.


• At least 18 months to 2 years of post-graduate experience.


• NHS and community occupational therapy experience, with a focus on stroke rehabilitation and/or neurology.


• Experience within multidisciplinary teams.


• Experience supervising students or assistants.


• Strong clinical reasoning skills.


• Valid UK driving licence and ability to travel between locations independently.


• Car owner/driver.
