Job summary

NetEase Games is seeking a seasoned Community Manager to lead overseas communities, with a focus on Discord operations and strategic planning aligned with product roadmaps. The role requires deep familiarity with shooter/competitive genres and strong cross-cultural communication.

You will coordinate with the China-based development team, gather player feedback, and optimize community features to engage players across regions. Visa sponsorship is available for UK-based applicants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher, with proficiency in English as a working language.
• 3+ years of experience operating large overseas gaming communities (Discord).
• Deep gaming experience with overseas titles, especially shooter/competitive genres.
• Strong communication and execution skills with collaborative team spirit.
• Proficiency in Chinese is required for daily coordination with the China-based development team.

Responsibilities

• Plan and operate overseas gaming communities, developing and executing community strategies based on product market strategy and release schedule.
• Oversee promotional scheduling, publishing, and performance evaluation of game content within the community.
• Continuously optimize Discord community features to meet player needs and preferences.
• Collect and report player feedback and sentiment; monitor competing games and new releases in the genre.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for planning and operating overseas gaming communities, developing and executing community strategies and objectives based on the product's market strategy and game version schedule.
• Oversee the promotional scheduling, publishing, and performance evaluation of game version content within the community.
• Continuously optimize Discord community functions based on player needs and preferences, ensuring the community meets player needs.
• Collect and report on player feedback and sentiment; Monitor competing products and new releases in the genre.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above, with proficiency in English as a working language.
• 3+ years of experience in operating large overseas gaming communities (Discord), with proven operational expertise in community and platform management, capable of developing and implementing community strategies.
• Deep gaming experience with overseas titles; familiar with shooter/competitive game genres, with clear insights into player demographics and the gaming industry.
• Strong communication and execution skills, collaborative team spirit, and a sense of responsibility.
• Proficiency in Chinese is required for this position, as daily communication and collaboration with game development team based in China are essential to the responsibilities of the position.
