Job summary

Oasis Academy Lord's Hill is seeking an energetic Leisure Assistant to join the Leisure Team for evenings and weekends, including Tuesday evenings, Sunday afternoons and alternate Wednesday evenings, with 11 hours per week. You will welcome community users, assist with bookings, set up rooms, maintain safety, provide first aid, and handle enquiries with a focus on excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS check required.
• Ability to speak fluent English.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of young people.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all users feel professionally welcomed with the highest level of customer care.
• Carry out administration, booking and financial processes for community usage in line with procedures.
• Set out equipment and furniture for sessions and return it promptly after use.
• Operate in line with Health and Safety policies and act as Fire Marshall.
• Provide First Aid as appropriate.
• Ensure site security and unlock/lock duties.
• Handle customer queries or complaints and escalate as needed.
• Report repair and maintenance needs to appropriate staff.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness in areas and equipment.
• Sell drinks and refreshments at reception and keep area tidy.
• Work as part of a team to achieve high customer service standards.
• Promote Oasis within the community and contribute to local events.
• Share sickness, holiday, and cover duties with the team.
• Carry out any other duties commensurate with the post.
