Job summary

Northumbria Health Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated clinician to join the Community Learning Disability Team in North Tyneside. The post involves conducting ADHD diagnostic assessments for children with learning disabilities within a supportive multidisciplinary setting.

You will work with families and carers, provide training and supervision to colleagues, and contribute to service development projects. A commitment to ongoing professional development is expected.

Qualifications

• Understanding of National and Local Policies relating to people with learning disabilities.
• Experience of working with people who present with challenging behaviour.
• Experience of working within a PBS framework.

Responsibilities

• Carry out ADHD diagnostic assessments for children who have a learning disability.
• Support, training and supervision to others within the team.
• Learn about the wider roles and responsibilities of the Community Learning Disability team and to support the Duty system.
• Opportunity to undertake service development projects.
