Job summary

The Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for an ADHD Specialist Practitioner to join the ADHD Service pathway, delivering high quality care for children and young people with ADHD.

You will work within a multi-disciplinary team to undertake needs-led assessments, coordinate care, support families and schools, and liaise with CAMHS, Adult Mental Health services and partners in line with NICE guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Communication with clients, families and professionals using verbal, non-verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Evidence-based needs-led assessments for highly complex presentations in children and young people.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic interventions relevant to ADHD.

Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of high-quality ADHD service to promote mental health and well-being of young people, families and carers.
  • Undertake needs-led, evidence-based assessments and therapeutic interventions for ADHD cases.
  • Liaise with CAMHS, Adult Mental Health services and community partners to develop integrated care packages.
  • Monitor and evaluate the ADHD pathway and maintain clinical records.
