Job summary

RGH-Global Limited in Harrogate is seeking a Learning Disability Nurse to join the Neurodevelopmental Assessments team on a permanent basis. Roles are full-time or part-time in a clinic/hybrid setting with 1–2 days in the office per week.

You will conduct comprehensive diagnostic assessments for autism and ADHD, use established tools, and provide feedback to families. Collaboration within a multidisciplinary team is essential, with opportunities for supervision for junior staff.

Qualifications

• NMC registered Learning Disability Nurse.
• Minimum 1 year experience in diagnostic neurodevelopmental assessments.
• Experience with assessment tools for autism and/or ADHD.
• Must have worked within a Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT).
• Willing to conduct assessments for both autism and ADHD.
• Knowledge of DSM-5 criteria for autism and ADHD.

Responsibilities

• Conduct face-to-face structured observations as part of the neurodevelopmental assessment process.
• Conduct remote developmental history interviews with parents and carers via Zoom.
• Participate in MDT diagnostic discussions with senior clinicians.
• Deliver clear, compassionate feedback to families.
• Produce accurate clinical reports with diagnostic formulations and recommendations.
• Write assessment reports timely with appropriate interventions.
• Meet service KPIs and contribute to team targets.
• Provide clinical supervision to junior staff where applicable.
• Attend Harrogate clinic base for in-person assessments (min 1–2 days/week).
