Job summary

Goodwin Development Trust is seeking an experienced Project Manager for a fixed-term role delivering the Thornton Connected project in Hull. You will lead a multi-disciplinary team and work closely with local partners to achieve wellbeing improvements and stronger community connections.

The role focuses on planning, budget oversight, stakeholder engagement and reporting to funders, with a view to creating lasting impact beyond the project period.

Qualifications

• Significant experience managing community development or social inclusion projects.
• Experience with externally funded programmes.
• Strong leadership, team motivation and staff support skills.
• Excellent communication, organisation and partnership-building.
• Passion for community-led working and improving local wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of the Thornton Connected project and ensure outcomes align with funding requirements.
• Manage and support the project team, ensuring resident involvement in shaping activities.
• Build strong partnerships with community groups and local services to create opportunities.
• Oversee project plans, budgets, monitoring and reporting to meet funding commitments.
• Develop new opportunities to extend impact beyond the funding period.
