Job summary

Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Clinical Support Worker - Community to assist clients in their own homes and occasionally in other primary health care settings. The role supports the district nursing service with shifts from 8:00am to 4:00pm, seven days a week.

You will work under guidance, participate in training, maintain records, and respond to changing client needs while delivering compassionate, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• GCSE English & Maths at grade 9-2 (A*-E) or equivalent, or demonstrated literacy/numeracy within application.
• Competence-based level 3 qualification e.g. NVQ or Diploma in Healthcare Support or Care Certificate.
• Willingness to undertake training relevant to the role.
• Moving and Handling competency.
• Infection Control knowledge.
• Customer Care.
• Competent in venepuncture, cannulation and simple wound dressings.
• Completion of Health Care Assistant core competencies.

Responsibilities

• Support clients in their own homes under supervision.
• Assist in delivering unscheduled care with initiative.
• Undertake training to enable effective delivery of care.
• Previous healthcare experience is desirable.
• Demonstrate confidence, resilience and a caring nature.
