Job summary

Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a part-time Healthcare Support Worker to deliver high-quality care to patients in their own homes.

You will work under the delegation of a registered nurse, supporting a range of healthcare tasks within your scope, and you will need a full UK driving licence to travel between patients.

Job description

We are looking to recruit a part time (22.5 hours/week) Healthcare Support Worker. As a valued member of our community nursing team, the role will involve providing high quality care to our patients in their own homes

Work will be delegated by a registered nurse and will include all aspects of healthcare delivery that are appropriate for your scope of practice

There is a requirement to demonstrate excellent communication skills; using these skills to engage with patients who often may exhibit complex and at times challenging behaviours and needs, to ensure the most appropriate care and support is provided

There is an expectation that the role will adhere to local and organisational policies and procedures when undertaking your work

Appropriate training will be provided to ensure you are proficient and competent to undertake this role
