Job summary

Portland Charity is seeking a Community Fundraising Coordinator to grow income and engagement through individual giving and community fundraising. You’ll be confident, proactive and passionate about our mission, building relationships with communities and supporters across the region.

You’ll develop campaigns, recruit volunteers, attend events and manage donor journeys, while maintaining records and reporting on performance.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering fundraising income targets of around £200k per year.
• Experience managing community activities and events.
• Ability to identify and develop new fundraising opportunities.
• Experience developing individual giving opportunities and fundraising appeals.
• Confidence with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, Excel and digital fundraising tools.
• Experience managing campaigns against income targets.
• Excellent communication, networking and organisational skills.
• Understanding of supporter journeys and donor experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and grow our individual giving programme.
• Create engaging fundraising campaigns, appeals and opportunities.
• Build relationships with community groups, schools, businesses and supporters.
• Identify and attend community events, fairs, festivals and fundraising activities.
• Recruit and support volunteers, community fundraisers and new supporters.
• Deliver an excellent supporter experience and develop long-term donor relationships.
• Support planning and delivery of fundraising events and campaigns.
• Maintain accurate supporter records and report on activity and performance.
