Charity People is recruiting a Family Support Coordinator to assist families with children under five across Ealing, London. This is a part-time, temporary role (3-6 months, could become permanent) at 15 hours per week, paying £15.59 PAYE per hour plus £1.88 holiday pay per hour, with a £30,000 FTE equivalent.

Travel across Ealing by car is required. You will coordinate support services, supervise volunteers, and liaise with social workers and partner agencies to ensure timely help for families

Competenze

• Experience supporting children, families, parents, or vulnerable adults.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and risk assessment processes.
• Understanding of perinatal mental health and family support services.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and case management systems such as Lamplight.
• Ability to build effective relationships with families, volunteers, and partner agencies.
• Flexible approach and willingness to occasionally work evenings or weekends.

Mansioni

• Managing referrals and carrying out family assessments.
• Supporting families with a range of additional and complex needs.
• Recruiting, training and retaining a volunteer network of around 30 volunteers.
• Conducting DBS and reference checks.
• Managing safeguarding concerns and escalating where appropriate.
• Maintaining accurate records using Lamplight and other systems.
• Building relationships with social workers, health professionals and community organisations.
• Organising volunteer training sessions, coffee mornings and family events.
• Promoting the charity and its services within the local community.
