Job summary

Manchester Communication Academy is seeking a facilities assistant to open, secure and monitor venues in line with procedures, maintaining site safety and conducting checks before and after activities. You will support customer engagement by greeting visitors, handling inquiries and helping with bookings, payments and admin tasks to keep schedules running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Open, close and secure facilities in line with operational procedures
• Maintain the safety and security of the site at all times
• Conduct facility checks before and after use, reporting any issues promptly
• Ensure access to facilities is restricted to authorised users only
• Carry out basic football pitch maintenance and general upkeep
• Set up, monitor and clear away equipment for activities and bookings
• Undertake litter picking and empty bins to maintain a clean and safe environment
• Support compliance with health and safety procedures, including enforcing site Policies
• Meet and greet customers in a professional and welcoming manner
• Respond to customer queries and resolve issues effectively
• Support a positive, inclusive and high-quality customer experience
• Encourage participation in sport, health and wellbeing activities
• Process bookings, payments and basic administrative tasks accurately
• Maintain records in line with organisational procedures
• Support the smooth operation of facility schedules and usage
