Job summary

Kirk Hallam Community Academy is seeking a Community Facility Assistant for 10 hours per week on a shift pattern including evenings and weekends. The role requires lone working in the evening (16:00-22:00) and weekends to support facility users and bookings.

The successful candidate will open and lock the facilities, ensure equipment is in good working order, maintain health and safety standards, and handle customer inquiries with a friendly, professional approach.

Salary:

Scale 3 (£25,584 - £25,989 pro-rata, £6,914 to £7,024 actual per year)

Contract:

Permanent, part time (10 hours a week on a shift pattern including evenings and weekends, 52 weeks per year)

Closing Date:

Tuesday 29th September 2026 at 9am

The Community Facility Assistant’s role requires some lone working in the evening (between16.00 - 22.00) and at weekends to provide top quality customer service to the users of the facilities. The successful candidate would be expected to open and lock the facilities, ensure all equipment is in good working condition, manage changeovers of groups and activities, ensures the cleanliness of the facilities, maintain the health and safety standards and assist with bookings and customer enquiries.
