Job summary

CEDE FOUNDATION is seeking an experienced events coordinator in Manchester to plan, deliver and develop our programme of community, fundraising and partnership events. The role is hands-on from planning to evaluation and involves working with colleagues, volunteers and external partners to ensure events are well organised, inclusive and engaging.

You will contribute ideas and help develop new events that support community needs, strengthen partnerships and align with our charitable aims.

Qualifications

  • Experience planning, coordinating and delivering events from prep through completion.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Participant-focused approach creating inclusive event experiences.
  • Experience with bookings, budgets, record-keeping and office systems.
  • Understanding of safe and inclusive event delivery including health and safety.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and resolve problems during planning and delivery.
  • Ability to support event promotion and outreach within communities.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate delivery of our events calendar with plans, timelines and run sheets.
  • Develop event themes and activities that respond to community needs and priorities.
  • Arrange venues, suppliers, catering, transport, speakers and logistics.
  • Build positive relationships with schools, community groups, funders and partners.
  • Manage bookings, registrations and attendee communications across channels.
  • Identify staffing and volunteer requirements and communicate roles and timings.
  • Prepare budgets, obtain quotations and monitor expenditure and income.
  • Coordinate risk assessment, safeguarding, health and safety and accessibility.
  • Oversee event-day delivery including setup, registrations, volunteers and suppliers.
  • Maintain attendance and feedback records; conduct post-event evaluations and implement learnings.
