Job summary

South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust in Greenwich is looking for a Community Engagement Lead to ensure community voice sits at the heart of neighbourhood health. You will report to the Community Development and Engagement Lead and work closely with INT partners, primary care, local authority colleagues and VCSE organisations.

The role is based at 4 Emerton Close, Bexleyheath, with frequent travel across Greenwich.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience of planning and delivering community engagement with diverse communities.
• Experience of partnership working with VCSE, faith, local authority or health organisations.
• Confident facilitation, communication and relationship-building skills.
• The ability to analyse feedback and write clear reports with recommendations.
• Strong commitment to equality, inclusion and anti-racist practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and delivery of community engagement for the Greenwich INT programme.
• Identify and engage seldom-heard communities, in line with the Patient and Carer Race Equality Framework (PCREF) and Core20PLUS5.
• Record, analyse and report on engagement feedback alongside service and demographic data.
• Work with services and partners to agree actions in response to community feedback and follow up on progress.
• Prepare papers, briefings and progress reports for the INT programme and Trust committees.
• Keep the Trusts community engagement register and dashboard up to date for Greenwich activity.
• Follow Trust policies on involvement payments, consent, confidentiality and safeguarding.
