Job summary

Powys County Council is seeking a proactive Community, Culture and Digital Officer to help deliver excellent customer experiences across cultural services in Knighton. You will assist with day-to-day operations, support volunteers, and help visitors access both council and government services, including digital resources.

The role emphasizes welcoming customers, providing information and guidance, and promoting diverse cultural activities, events and digital access to engage the community.

Qualifications

• Experience using ICT and adapting to changing technologies at work.
• Good understanding of public libraries, museums and cultural venues and their community role.
• Commitment to high standards and ability to work on own initiative as well as in a team.

Responsibilities

• Undertake day-to-day operation of the facility, including supervising volunteers.
• Provide a warm welcome and high level of customer service and guidance to customers.
• Support customers with digital systems and resources.
• Promote the use of cultural facilities and engage diverse audiences through activities and events.
