Job summary

Powys County Council is recruiting a part-time Community, Culture and Digital Officer for Knighton Library in Llandrindod Wells. You will oversee daily operations, supervise volunteers, and ensure a welcoming, service-oriented experience while guiding visitors to digital and cultural resources.

The role requires ICT experience, knowledge of public libraries, museums and cultural venues, and a commitment to high standards. A DBS check is required and the post is on-site, permanent.

Qualifications

• Experience using ICT and adapting to new technologies at work.
• Good understanding of public libraries, museums and cultural venues.
• Good general education (5 GCSEs, A-C or equivalent).
• Commitment to high standards.
• Ability to work on own initiative as well as in a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate daily library facilities and supervise volunteers.
• Provide warm welcome and high-quality customer service, including access to council and government services.
• Support customers with a wide range of digital systems and resources.
• Promote cultural facilities and activities, engaging diverse audiences.
