Job summary

Optimum Care Group in Bangor is seeking a Community Care Worker to join our local team. You will assist vulnerable adults at home, supporting personal washing, dressing, meals, medication prompts and practical tasks.

This permanent role offers day and evening shifts, with a pay rate of £13.20 per hour, plus £500 joining bonus, mileage payments and comprehensive training. A full driving licence, access to a car, and a mobile phone are required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal washing, showering, dressing and undressing.
• Provide meals, refreshments and light snacks.
• Prompt and administer medication as directed.
• Assist with light cleaning, shopping, laundry and related tasks.
• Help clients move safely using moving and handling aids if needed.
• Provide care sitting to give respite to family carers.
• Encourage client independence and dignity.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Assist with personal washing, showering, bathing/bed bathing, dressing/undressing.
• Provide refreshments and light snacks.
• Prompt and administer medication.
• Assist with practical support such as light cleaning, fire lighting, and shopping, dish-washing, laundry, cleaning and maintaining spectacles, false teeth and hearing aids.
• Assist client to move safely which may require the use of moving and handling aids such as. hoists and slide sheets.
• Provide a care sitting service to give respite to other carers such as family members.
• Encourage and promote client independence and choice, and uphold client rights and dignity.

Shift Patterns

Day Shift: 7am – 6pm

Evening Shift: 6pm – 11pm

Please note this role requires you to be available to work weekday and weekend shifts.
