Job summary

Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Northwich is seeking an enthusiastic Operational Service Assistant to join the Northwich Care Community. You will provide comprehensive administrative support to community services, manage calls and referrals and support clinical staff within the Care Community Team.

Qualifications

• Administrative support experience
• Good communication and IT skills
• Familiarity with NHS IT systems (EMIS, DCS/Meditech) advantageous

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Specialist Services within the Care Community Team, including managing calls and referrals and supporting clinical staff.
• Support the Care Community Co-Ordinator to liaise with internal and external services regarding appointments and multi-disciplinary meetings.
• Exercise own judgement on queries and escalate as needed to other team members depending on urgency.
• Build and maintain constructive relationships within the department and with external partners to improve service efficiency.
• Be conversant with electronic systems for correspondence and obtain information from intranet/internet when requested.
• Provide information to parents/carers following agreed guidelines where appropriate.
• Support audits, reports and activity measurement, including managing databases and presenting results.
• Carry out other duties as requested by the senior/Line Manager, within competency.
