Job summary

Helpers Homecare is seeking dedicated Care Assistants to join our caring teams in the Stevenage area. You will provide life-changing care and support to vulnerable adults in their own homes, working shifts from 7am-3pm or 4pm-10pm. Full training is provided, with paid induction and opportunities for progression.

Applicants must have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle. No previous care experience is required, as comprehensive training and ongoing support are offered to help you

• Driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential for this role.
• No prior experience needed; training provided and support available.

Responsibilities

• Assist service users with mobility and use of aids.
• Perform domestic tasks: beds, tidying, light cleaning and laundry.
• Support with personal care including washing, bathing and toileting.
• Help with meals and drinks; assist with feeding if required.
• Assist with preparing and administering medication as directed.
• Support end-of-life care when appropriate.

• Mornings 7am-3pm
• Evenings 4pm-10pm

As a Home Care Worker you’ll provide life-changing care and support that enables vulnerable adults of all ages to live fulfilling lives, within their own homes.

Job Description:

• Helping service users overcome any mobility problems and other physical disabilities, including helping in the use of, and care of aids/adaptations and personal equipment.
• Domestic tasks such as making and changing beds, tidying rooms, light cleaning, laundry and emptying commodes
• Our home care assistants are responsible for assisting service users with personal care such as washing, bathing and toileting arrangements.
• Help with eating and drinking by preparing meals, snacks and drinks, assisting with feeding if required
• Support with preparing and administering medication.
• Contribute as needed to a person’s end-of-life care

Requirements:
