Job summary

Right at Home Stevenage, Bishop's Stortford & Braintree is seeking caring, reliable Care Assistants. No experience needed and full training provided. Competitive pay includes £14.20 per hour on weekdays and £14.40 per hour on weekends, plus mileage paid at 40p per mile, fully paid travel time, and a £500 joining bonus.

You will offer companionship and essential care in clients\' homes, with shadow shifts, ongoing refresher training, and a supportive team throughout your role.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full UK or EU driving licence.
• Have access to your own vehicle.
• Willing to work flexible hours including early mornings/afternoons/evenings and weekends.
• Live locally to Bishops Stortford, Takeley, Dunmow, Braintree and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and practical support to clients in their own homes.
• Motivate clients to stay active and maintain independence.
• Administer medication as required and assist with appointments.
• Assist with shopping, housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Support clients with transport to activities and outings.

About the Role:

We’re looking for warm, dependable Care Assistants to support our clients in their own homes with tasks such as:

• Motivating Clients to get the most out of their day

• Personal care

• Administering medication

• Assisting Clients with washing and dressing

• Shopping

• Housekeeping

• Meal preparation

• Taking Clients for appointments or outings

What we’re looking for:

• Must hold a full and valid UK or EU/EEA driving licence and have access to own vehicle

• Be able to offer availability either early mornings (from 7am), afternoon (from 2pm) or evening (from 5pm) and every other weekend

• Commit to attending a 3-day training course

• Live locally to Bishop's Stortford, Takeley, Dunmow, Braintree and surrounding areas

• Have or be willing to obtain business vehicle insurance

If you have experience as a Care Assistant, Support Worker, Carer, HCA, Health Care Assistant or in the NHS we would love to hear from you. However, if you do not have experience, we provide full training and encourage candidates from all sectors to apply, for example: retail sales assistant, customer service, hairdressers/beauticians, receptionist, administrator, cleaners, warehouse workers and delivery drivers.
