Job summary

Creative Support invites applications for a Café Lead at the Courtyard Café in Leeds, a not-for-profit community venture. You will lead a small team, manage stock and orders, and uphold top hygiene and safety standards while engaging with local partners to benefit adults with learning disabilities and autism.

The role involves food preparation and kitchen oversight, with a focus on inclusive community work and not-for-profit objectives.

Qualifications

• At least one year’s experience in a similar role or responsibilities.
• An NVQ in Professional Cookery and a minimum Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate are required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a small team of café support workers and placements.
• Oversee stock taking, ordering, and ensure hygienic kitchen operations.
• Maintain the highest standards of food quality, hygiene and safety.
• Develop community links and partnerships within the local area.
• Prepare meals and demonstrate capable kitchen management.
