Job summary

Norfolk County Council is recruiting for an Assistant Practitioner to join Central neighbourhood teams in Norwich, working with a Social Worker in a multi-disciplinary setting to support people in the most deprived areas.

You will provide safety, wellbeing support, advice and signposting, and build relationships with local organisations and residents to identify at-risk individuals and offer preventative help.

Qualifications

• CV and Supporting Statement are required for application.
• Experience in building relationships with organisations and residents is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside an allocated Social Worker in a multi-disciplinary team and with community resources to support people in Norwich.
• Help ensure the safety and wellbeing of people at immediate risk; provide advice, guidance and signposting.
• Build relationships with organisations and residents to assess at-risk individuals and consider preventative support.
• Have direct contact with people and families in the community at St. Saviours Yard, GP surgeries and during home visits.
• Be creative and flexible as the role develops in response to local needs.
