Job summary

Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Communications Supervisor to lead the Switchboard Team at Bodmin Hospital. The role covers 24/7 operations, weekend and night shifts, and requires strong communication and supervisory skills.

You will manage 12 staff, oversee message handling, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations while supporting flexible working patterns and integration with NHS services across Cornwall.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a team in health/public sector preferred.
• NVQ Level 3 / ILM Supervisory Management qualification desirable.
• Previous NHS experience or equivalent supervisory role desirable.
• Excellent communication and IT skills required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise switchboard team to ensure an effective communication service.
• Oversee incident management and out-of-hours rotas.
• Ensure high-quality messaging and customer service across the Trust.
