Job summary

Derby City Council is seeking a dynamic Communications & Marketing professional on a fixed-term contract. You’ll contribute to the full marketing mix, including website content, social media, campaigns, advertising, PR and design.

You’ll work in a hybrid role, applying creativity and initiative in a supportive multi-disciplinary team. 37 hours weekly, with a closing end date of 30 September 2027; access to benefits and development opportunities available.

Salary: £27,274 - £28,153 a year

Location: Hybrid - The Council House/Home working

Hours: 37 hours a week

Contract Type: Fixed Term - up to 30th September 2027

We're looking for a dynamic and creative individual to join our Communications & Marketing team. Whilst some experience is essential, this is a fantastic opportunity to develop and refine your communications and marketing skills as part of a larger, multi-discipline team.

You’ll work across the team assisting in delivery of the full communications and marketing mix - including website content management, social media, direct communications, marketing campaigns, advertising, PR & media and design.

You’ll be organised, customer‑focussed with a creative outlook, plenty of initiative and enthusiasm.
