Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivers consistent performance as day to day account lead; ensuring all project activities are being completed by the team to a high standard, on budget and on time
  • Keeps on top of industry developments including policy, project developments and people moves and interprets relevance to clients and projects
  • Demonstrates an understanding of, and make proactive and informed contributions to forecast discussions
  • Management and delegation of tasks to junior team members to ensure timely delivery in line with expectations and avoid overloading team members or causing a resource issue
  • Contributes to development of Copper’s broader marketing strategy through involvement with marketing programmes
  • Earns position as first port of call for all client enquiries; be recognised as trusted advisor externally and internally as a safe, effective and reliable pair of hands

Person Specification

  • Consultancy skills: able to develop strong client relationships; day to dayaccountmanagement ofclients,projectsand campaigns; budget management including understanding of contribution to Copper income and profitability
  • New business development: ability toidentify andcontribute to generating consultancy income from existing and new clients; drafting proposals,budgetsand presentations(with supervision from account director); pitching
  • Communications planning: ability to develop plans from communications strategies;execute individual communications workstreams using OASIS principles
  • Media and social media: day to day knowledge of media management
  • Public affairs:politically aware: some knowledge of UK political structures (national,devolvedand local)
  • Strong interpersonal skills;articulate;motivated; enthusiastic;enquiring mind;problem solver;attention to detail
