The role requires a Registered Manager with commissioning experience, strong CQC knowledge and leadership, driving service development and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience commissioning a care home (essential).
• Experience as Registered Manager in care.
• Strong knowledge of CQC requirements and regulatory compliance.
• Experience managing large nursing/residential care homes preferred.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Proactive approach to service development and continuous improvement.
• Professional PIN desirable but not essential.

About the Role

We are working with a fantastic, fast-growing care organisation seeking an experienced Commissioning Registered Manager to lead the opening and development of a care home in Kent.

This is an exciting opportunity for an established Registered Manager with commissioning experience to take ownership of a new service, build a strong team and ensure the home is fully prepared to deliver high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the commissioning and opening of the care home, ensuring all necessary systems and processes are in place.
• Ensure compliance with CQC regulations and relevant legislation.
• Recruit, develop and lead a high-performing team.
• Establish robust quality assurance, governance and operational procedures.
• Oversee budgets, occupancy and the overall performance of the home.
• Promote a positive culture focused on safe, person-centred care.

Requirements

• Previous experience commissioning a care home is essential.
• Experience working as a Registered Manager within the care sector.
• Strong knowledge of CQC requirements and regulatory compliance.
• Ideally, experience managing large nursing and residential care homes.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• A proactive approach to service development and continuous improvement.
• A professional PIN is desirable but not essential.
