A leading engineering and construction company is seeking a Commissioning Manager to oversee commissioning processes for MEP Services. Qualifications

• Knowledge of industry statutory requirements and safety training (CSCS, IOSH/SMSTS, First Aid).
• Full UK driving license and willingness to travel.

Due to an increase in workload and some major project wins, JCA has exciting new opportunities for Commissioning Managers to join our team working on our customer sites across the M3/M4 corridor.

Responsibilities

The role involves managing the commissioning processes associated with MEP Services, from project inception through installation, testing, commissioning, integration, demonstration, handover, sign-off, and training of systems to the client and their representatives.

Pre-Construction Phase:

• Lead and manage the commissioning process as Commissioning (CX) Manager.
• Assess commission-ability and produce reports, including reviews of drawings, schematics, specifications, and manufacturers’ proposals.
• Develop a detailed Commissioning Plan and Strategy, outlining testing levels, responsibilities, and documentation requirements.
• Coordinate commissioning activities with construction schedules and facilitate meetings.

Construction and Testing Phase:

• Further develop and manage the commissioning plans and documentation.
• Manage commissioning and testing personnel on-site.
• Oversee the tagging process, progress reporting, and documentation sign-off.
• Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Ensure health and safety compliance during commissioning activities.

Qualifications

Relevant engineering degree (ONC, HND, or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services).

Proven experience in commissioning management within mechanical and/or electrical infrastructure, especially in critical environments.

Knowledge of industry statutory requirements, safety training (CSCS, IOSH/SMSTS, First Aid), and a full UK driving license.

Willingness to travel and stay away as required.

Client management experience is desirable.
