Job summary

Forest Green Rovers FC is seeking a dedicated Commis Chef to support our catering team across the stadium, concourse, Fan Zone and Eco Canteen. The role suits someone keen to develop culinary skills in a fast-paced, food-focused environment.

You will work with the Head Chef on matchdays and weekdays, with shifts 9am-5pm and potential evenings, weekends and bank holidays. A full driving license is required and a passion for sustainability is valued.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a catering/restaurant environment or a catering qualification.
• Full driving license is required.
• Basic knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards would be ideal.
• Available to work evenings, weekends and public holidays, to cover Matchday fixtures and events.
• Have good communication skills and be able to work within the small FGR Team.
• Work off your own initiative, be creative and think outside the box.
• Passion for supporting a culture that demonstrates sustainability, equality, diversity and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Working with our Head Chef and the team to provide support and help deliver FGR Food across our platforms including the stadium, concourse, Fan Zone and Eco Canteen.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of all areas of the kitchen.
• Assisting with meal preparation, including chopping vegetables, preparing ingredients and assembling dishes.
• Offering general support to the Catering Team during busy periods.
• Work on Matchdays within the Catering Team, primarily based in the hospitality kitchen but scope to expand and learn other areas.
