Job summary

Loughview Leisure is seeking a Commis Chef to join the DoubleTree by Hilton Belfast City Ten Square Hotel in central Belfast. You will assist in preparing, cooking and presenting dishes in a high-volume kitchen while learning from seasoned culinary professionals.

This role requires 6 months’ experience, a food hygiene certificate, and the right to work in the UK. You’ll work across a seven-day week, maintain hygiene, follow safety procedures and contribute to team meetings.

Qualifications

• Have 6 months experience as a commis chef in a busy restaurant.
• Must have a food hygiene certificate.
• Be flexible to work across a 7 day week.
• Must have the right to work in the UK.
• Must be able to converse in English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present food quickly and to company standards.
• Keep the kitchen clean and hygienic at all times.
• Work safely around kitchen equipment and report maintenance issues.
• Manage food wastage through proper procedures.
• Complete in-house training to maintain knowledge.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Participate in team meetings and carry out management instructions.
