Job summary

The Club Company is seeking a motivated Commis Chef to join our kitchen team at Woodbury. You will assist the Sous Chef in preparing high quality dishes in a fast-paced environment, sourcing ingredients, and keeping a clean, compliant workstation.

Key responsibilities include supporting the Head Chef, adhering to food safety standards, and contributing to training and improvement initiatives during busy periods.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• GCSE qualification and/or Level 1 and 2 Food Safety Awards.
• Previous hospitality industry cooking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Sous Chef with food preparation to specification and ensure high quality dishes.
• Source ingredients and small equipment items and minimise wastage.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation and follow safe food handling practices.
• Report to the Head Chef and participate in departmental meetings and training.
• Assist during busy periods and support continuous improvement initiatives.
