Job summary

The Club Company is seeking a motivated Commis Chef to join our kitchen team at one of our premium golf and country clubs in the UK. You will work under the Sous Chef to help prepare high‑quality dishes and support the culinary operation in a fast-paced environment.

You will contribute to sourcing ingredients, minimising waste, and maintaining hygiene standards while reporting to the Head Chef. The role offers development within a respected hospitality group and a structured shift pattern.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• GCSE qualification and/or Level 1 and 2 Food Safety Awards.
• Previous hospitality industry cooking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Sous Chef with food preparation to specification and ensure high-quality dishes.
• Source ingredients and small equipment and minimise wastage.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation and follow safe food handling practices.
• Report to the Head Chef and participate in departmental meetings; support training and continuous improvement.
• Assist during busy periods and contribute to delivering exceptional food, beverage and service standards.
