Join the kitchen team at Rockwater’s vibrant grab-and-go Shacks, where great food, quality coffee, and fresh sea air come together!

Our inviting venue offers something for every moment – from a quick coffee after a sea swim to relaxed bites on the beach. The Rockwater Shacks focus on fast, fresh, feel-good food and drink, served with energy and a smile. Your role as a Shacks Chef is to ensure every order is delivered with care and quality. We’re looking for someone dependable, organized, and passionate about delivering consistently great food, quickly.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and serve hot and cold food to Rockwater standards
• Maintain high levels of hygiene and cleanliness at all times
• Follow food safety procedures and complete relevant checklists (e.g., fridge temps, cleaning records)
• Work efficiently in a small team, supporting colleagues during busy periods
• Ensure the Shack is stocked, prepped, and ready for the day ahead
• Minimize wastage and store food correctly
• Deliver the “Rockwater Experience” with a positive attitude and pride in your work
• Support opening and closing duties following daily checklists

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience in a fast-paced food or kitchen environment (e.g., cafe, food truck, kiosk, QSR)
• Basic food prep skills with a keen eye for presentation
• Passionate about cleanliness and organization
• A calm, positive team player – even under pressure
• Confident in handling food safely and following allergen procedures
• Excellent time management and reliability
