The Rose & Crown in Yealmpton, part of the St Austell Brewery family, is seeking a motivated Commis Chef to join our busy kitchen. You’ll assist in food preparation, work as part of the team, and ensure procedures and dish specifications are followed precisely.

You will cook with locally sourced produce, contribute to high-quality meals for guests, and benefit from tips sharing, meal on shift up to £10, and a range of staff discounts.

Job description

Set in the beautiful village of Yealmpton, The Rose & Crown is a much-loved pub with accommodation that’s renowned for its food, cosy interior, and suntrap walled garden.

You’ll be working in the South Hams, largely an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which is abundant with magnificent scenery. You’ll find breathtaking beaches, quality local food, history, culture, and enchanting woodland all moments away.

Are you an enthusiastic Commis chef with experience of working in a fast-paced environment? Join our talented kitchen team and you’ll be working alongside passionate people, cooking with locally sourced produce to provide quality food that delights our guests. As a commis chef you will be assisting in the preparation of food, working as part of the team ensuring the correct procedures are followed and specifications for each dish are precisely met.
