Job summary

The Royal Castle in Dartmouth is seeking a committed Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. You will assist with food preparation, ensuring procedures are followed and dishes are prepared to our exacting standards.

You will work in a busy, guest-focused environment, learning from experienced chefs and developing skills with locally sourced produce. The role offers opportunities to grow within a supportive team and kitchen operations.

Qualifications

• Well organised and adaptable with a genuine passion for what you do.
• Experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment is valued.
• Ability to deliver consistent, high-quality food to guests.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of food to spec and quality standards.

Join our talented kitchen team and you’ll be working alongside passionate people, cooking with locally sourced produce to provide quality food that delights our guests. As a commis chef you will be assisting in the preparation of food, working as part of the team ensuring the correct procedures are followed and specifications for each dish are precisely met.
