Job summary

Thomas Franks in Bristol is seeking a Commis Chef to join our team, working Monday to Wednesday 7:00–15:00. This role is based at a world-class catering location, offering fresh, seasonal ingredients and evolving menus.

You will be part of a dedicated team delivering breakfast, lunch and hospitality with a strong emphasis on quality and service. Applicants should have a genuine interest in food, be a team player, and thrive in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• To work well in a team, providing breakfast, lunch and hospitality.
• To produce food for service using fresh ingredients, cooking from scratch and following the company’s brand standards.
• Ensuring company food standards are adhered to and wastage controlled.
• Ensuring all Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies and allergen control procedures are followed.
• Experience of pot wash duties would be an advantage.
• Excellent customer service skills.

A fantastic B&I location, part of a large group, one of the world's leading communications services companies with this location based in Bristol. Catering for about 300 people daily, we offer a core feeding of Breakfast, Lunch and vending options along with lots of hospitality. This location operates Monday to Friday and benefits from good transport links.

We are looking for a talented Commis Chef to join our team at one of our prestigious locations in Bristol Monday - Wednesday 7:00 -15:00.

You will be excited to work with fresh seasonal ingredients & regularly changing bespoke menus. You will be creative and have the opportunity to showcase your skillset.

Key responsibilities:

• To work well in a team, providing breakfast, lunch & hospitality
• To produce food for service using fresh ingredients, cooking from scratch and following the companies brand standards
• Ensuring company food standards are adhered to and wastage controlled.
• Ensuring all Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies and allergen control procedures are followed.

Knowledge / competencies:

• Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good understanding and use of verbal English.

• Similar experience of customer and / or food preparation environment is preferred
